The KDK-Alli documentation suggests to me that somewhere within Mamp Pro there is an httpd.conf file (/Applications/MAMP/conf/apache/httpd.conf), and you just need to edit that file to add an Include statement which points to the path of your httpd-vufind.conf file. Regarding Jetty/Solr, what happens if you run the existing vufind.sh script? Do you get any specific error messages? - Demian From: Allen Patrick [mailto:al...@nu...] Sent: Friday, September 21, 2012 3:30 PM To: vuf...@li... Subject: [VuFind-Tech] Installing vufind 1.3 on Mac Lion with mamp Hello I have been trying to set up my mac to run vufind. I have Mamp Pro which is pretty nice. I have rewritten the install script so that it creates the mysql vufind database, installs the proper pear stuff along with the smarty templates. I got Xdebug and Webgrind going also. At this point however I am kind of lost. I think there are just a few more things I have to do. My vufind 1.3 folder is in "/Users/al/Projects/vufind" as apposed to my normal ubuntu "/usr/local/vufind" setup. I know I have to somehow setup the vufind alias that httpd-vufind.conf refers to and cannot quite figure it out. I have been looking and a link on github https://github.com/KDK-Alli/NDL-VuFind/wiki/VuFind-with-MAMP-on-Mac-OS-X that talks about this but I don't quite understand. I also am not sure what I will have to do to get jetty and solr working. I am doing this so that I can have a nice development environment at the office and for my laptop for when I come to the vufind conference. I currently have it running on windows with Wamp and on ubuntu. I am just hacking away until I get it figured out. If you have any suggestions I would most appreciate it. -- Helping libraries help patrons Allen Patrick President NuGen System Inc. soon to be Cloud Libraries |
