There definitely should be a way to do it, though I don't know the details for Thunderbird. I'm using Outlook (yes, I know -- I'm not proud of it), and I never see duplicate messages even when they are cross-posted to a wide variety of lists (like solrmarc-tech, vufind-tech, code4lib, etc., etc.). Perhaps if I were seeing duplicate messages, I would be more likely to want to change things! - Demian ________________________________________ From: Katharina Wolkwitz [wol...@fh...] Sent: Friday, September 14, 2012 9:09 AM To: vuf...@li...; vufind-tech Subject: Re: [VuFind-General] Mailing-list-merge? Hi Demian, I guess what I'd really need more than a change in vufind-mailinglist-policies is a way to get rid of those duplicate mails coming in through both lists. I'm using Thunderbird and have the add-on "Remove Duplicate Messages" installed but cannot get it to work for the Vufind-General/Vufind-Tech-Mails... Perhaps someone has a tip for me how to solve the problem on my end? I hope to be able to attend next Dev-Call again, so perhaps you could put it on the agenda. :-) Kate Am 14.09.2012 13:35 schrieb Demian Katz: > I can think of two main pros for keeping things as they are: > > 1.)
