Hi again, after finally getting down to testing Alan Rykhus' Aleph-driver, I'm proud to announce that after adding a few lines of my own to said driver ;-) we now have red and green availability-information in our holdings-tab as you can take a look at here: http://194.94.3.187/vufind/Record/000607106 I've also managed to deny holdability for items that are on order by the acquisition-department and also found a way to hide the whole duedate-related info in the same tab: http://194.94.3.187/vufind/Record/000615560 :-D :-D :-D But with those items, there's another problem I'm not sure how to tackle: the information that an item is on order by the acquisition-department is supplied by our Aleph-Server in German ("Bestellt") and as I could not find any of these terms in the English-language-file "acq" "on order" "ordered", I wonder if there is a phrase/word for "on order by the acquisition-department" in vufind and what that is. If I have the English equivalent for our German "Bestellt", I'll just tranlate the German term into English inside the Driver and then add the re-tranlation to the German-language-file... Or is there a more elegant way to do this? I'm also not sure, whether my additions to the driver 1. could not be put somewhere else to get those language-dependent if-clauses out of the driver itself? 2. could be handle much more elegantly anyway? I'm well aware that my PHP-knowledge is that of an advanced beginner at best, but as I know there are people with much better grabs on PHP reading this list, I take the liberty to add my version of the driver to this mail in the hope those two questions will be answered. ;-) Kate Am 10.05.2012 14:31 schrieb Katharina Wolkwitz: > Hi again, > > sometimes all it seems to take is posting a question on one or two mailinglists > to find the answer oneself... ;-) > > I just discovered the information [status] => 11/06/12 at the very end of the > restful-API-answer, which seems to contain just the information I was searching > for. :-) > I'd limited my searching to "due"-something, so I didn't find it before. > > Kate > > > Am 10.05.2012 13:58 schrieb Katharina Wolkwitz: >> Hello, >> >> I'm starting to get to know the Restful-API for Aleph-20 in order to adapt our >> new vufind-server to our needs and have tried to find out if there are any >> duedate-information for an item-request. >> >> As far as I could find out, duedate-information are only available in the >> patron-information and not in the item-information, but I still hope to be wrong >> there, since we'd really like to display the duedate if the item is on loan as >> part of the item-information in vufind... >> >> Thanks for any information (either from the aleph- or the vufind-side) :-) >> >> Katharina Wolkwitz > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Live Security Virtual Conference > Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and > threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
