Interesting -- I only see the problem in the VuFind demo if I use a value of 1.0 exactly! http://vufind.org/demo/Search/Results?lookfor=roam~1.0&type=AllFields&submit=Find If I use a higher value, VuFind correctly detects a syntax error and displays an appropriate message: http://vufind.org/demo/Search/Results?lookfor=roam~1.1&type=AllFields&submit=Find It should be fairly trivial to catch the "minimumSimilarity >= 1" exception and fail more gracefully. I have opened a JIRA ticket for this issue: http://vufind.org/jira/browse/VUFIND-537 If you have time to deal with it, please post a patch there. Otherwise, I will address it when I find the time. Thanks for reporting the problem! - Demian > -----Original Message----- > From: Leander Seige [mailto:se...@ub...] > Sent: Sunday, March 25, 2012 2:13 AM > To: vuf...@li... > Subject: [VuFind-Tech] fuzzy exception > > Dear all, > > when doing an out-of-range fuzzy search (searchterm~1.0) vufind either > displays a java exception or has "no results".
