I used EXPORT to set the JAVA_HOME variable, which should make it global? from root and my usual user account #echo $JAVA_HOME /usr/lib/jvm/default-java #which java /usr/bin/java #java --version java version "1.5.0" gij (GNU libgcj) version 4.3.2 #$JAVA_HOME/bin/java --version java version "1.5.0" gij (GNU libgcj) version 4.3.2 I dont know how to log in as www-data (apache user) so I cant check if $JAVA_HOME is set correctly for it, but, like i said, i though it should be global. and the other java that might be called (not in java_home) is the same version anyways. I'm not too worried, since it works. if I have more problems down the line that might be java related then I'll look into it more. thanks so much! elliot On Mon, Nov 8, 2010 at 11:51 AM, Demian Katz <dem...@vi...>wrote: > Glad to hear you’re making progress… but you shouldn’t be seeing all > those exceptions!
