Just two things: 1. The file in the php distro is all lower-case -- libmysql.dll. I would change the documentation to reflect that, just to avoid any unncessary confusion. Make sure that libmysql.dll is in your PHP directory . . . [etc.] 2. The problem I run into (and I guess Nalani as well) is that the libmySQL.dll that comes with MySQL doesn't work with my PHP and Apache set-up. So the suggestion in the wiki that it might help to add MySQL\bin to the path, might actually break things, if Windows finds and loads that .dll first before the one in PHP. In fact, I've had to remove MySQL\bin from the path in the past for that very reason. But, I forget the details on this, and I may have just done it wrong. So it might be useful if someone could confirm all this. --Dave ================== David Walker Library Web Services Manager California State University http://xerxes.calstate.edu ________________________________________ From: Demian Katz [dem...@vi...] Sent: Tuesday, August 03, 2010 10:36 AM To: Walker, David; vuf...@li... I have revised it to account for your suggestions: http://vufind.org/wiki/installation_windows#install_mysql Please let me know if you feel that further adjustments are needed!
