A GIS web service (or Google Maps) could be used to show the distribution of observers for the loaded data set.

However, this would require being able to make a connection between observer code and location.

Since we do not always have a good location for each observer (many just have a country), I don't think we should do this. Displaying that kind of information isn't really part of VStar's purpose anyway and would just add clutter.
