@david_benn: I'm not too worried about it not remembering the last star group selected. I wonder how often this feature is even used? Maybe for consistency, it would be good to get it to remember that, but I don't think this is a high priority. Thanks.
Hi David & Cliff, Here are my two cents... I agree that the best thing to do (for now anyway) is to change the X-axis label to simply "Time" as you suggest and fix the manual accordingly. Better to be a little amiguous than wrong such as in the case of mixed sources. Besides, the user can override the axis titles manually by right-clicking on a plot then clicking "Properties" and the "Plot" tab. I have done that before when I wanted to be more specific in a plot for publication or something. If this...
Hi David, I assume you are referring to this question from Cliff: 2) The band for both TESS and Kepler reads "Kepler". It appears Kepler is one of the standard VStar bands and has this description. Since neither Kepler nor TESS are a real passband, only a conversion of flux to magnitude with an arbitrary zero point, it does not seem worthwhile to create another standard VStar band for TESS. Should we change the label for Kepler to Kepler/TESS? Or perhaps something even more generic? So as to reduce...
"Select a Star" should default to the latest star requested in the session
Hi David, What is the JD range you tried? Is the problem still happening? The sL2 Pup seems to load fine using Zapper and LCGv2. BTW, if you request all data for this star, the lightcurve is really cool. Wish I lived in the S. Hemisphere - you get all the interesting stars - not to mention novae! Hi David, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I wanted to bring this up in today's science team meeting and see what Stella & others thought we should do. The conclusion seems to be that we should take out the reference to "Citizen Sky" but leave in the "Group" and "Star" dropdowns and add in the southern gems list but call the groups something like " '10-Star Tutorial' list - North " and " '11-Star Tutorial' list - South ". Hopefully, the AUIDs for these stars won't change again (I was a...
Hardwired AUIDs no longer work
While many of the values of the CMag and Kmag fields are real numbers, a lot of them aren't. A quick check of the AID shows that for the CMag field there are about 20 million nulls, 3 million blanks, 1737 strings of various kinds. Will this cause a problem?
