My beloved Meteors when they reach a planet using the
gravity well still show in the "Dest" field the planet itself.

Is it something easy to correct? Thanks pf

If you have "KeepWayPoints" and "AutoUseGravityWell" enabled
in your vpa.ini this is the expected behaviour.

Otherwise there should be a ~ (tilde) in front of the
planet-name if your waypoint is set to the warpwell of a planet.

    Aye, Sir.
I have both "KeepWayPoints" and "AutoUseGravityWell".
But I already reached the target; this is a turn after!!!!

    I mean:
    turn 1: I set a short target
turn 2: the ship reached the planet
Why does VPA show the waypoint? My meteor is happily
parked in the docks, but I still see a tilde.
TURN 3: MY METEOR GETS AN ENEMY MINE
Unbelievable; I can understand vpa, in turn 2, shows the
wrong info, but in turn 3 the mbr don't have to move.

    thank you so much
    pf

    Hello,

    thanks for your response.

Where did you set the short waypoint in turn1? To the planet
itself or to the border of the gravity-well (by pressing g
    for example).

New VPA-Versions have a feature called "common mistakes" -
ships that have a waypoint in the local gravity well with
warp>1 are assumed a mistake. In CVS there is a feature
(Strg-Z) to reset the waypoints of all those ships.

Depends on point of view IMHO :-)))

    > Where did you set the short waypoint in turn1?

I point the planet (no g-key), but I always
    have "AutoUseGravityWell"
However with short, sorry, I meant "reacheable in 1 turn" less
then 81 but greater then 3ly

I see your point, but I feel VPA should remember that "I" point
the planet and "IT" changed to point the Gwell.
I'd like to have the waypoint reset to the planet when I reah
    the planet then...
I understand the "common mistakes" however and thank
    ciao pf

I looked at the code now:

If you set "KeepWayPoints = On" then VPA resets the waypoint
of all ships that arrived at a planet with a waypoint at the
    gravity-well ot that planet.

So it should do it right. So in your turn 2 the mbr should
sit at the planet without waypoint.

If you have "AutoUseGravityWell = on" but "KeepWayPoints =
Off" then the waypoint of all ships is not reset after they
reach a planet using the gravity well.

So I think I will add another option to automatically reset
    the waypoints of such ships.

I do have "KeepWayPoints = On", but VPA doesn't reset the
waypoint at the end of the trip. That's the mistake.
    ciao
