I get a lot of request over chats for help on computers. After years of doing this I know that trying to describe what to click and what keys to press to a person in a chat box if ,to say the least, frustrating. So WinVNC to the rescue. I use the att version on my work network. But I have dialup here at home so tightVNC would be a lot better for me. I am making and autoit script to install and run Win-tighvnc from a desktop icon. Trust me most people that I deal with do not even know how to save something to a folder. So that is the rational for one windows.ext that the person will just have to save to his desktop and click on to have the autoit compiled script to install and set up Win-Tight vnc and display their ip address so that they can give it to me in a chat box and I can connect to them using the tight client and solve thier problem. My question is. Is there someway that I can set the password for the tightserver from the command line or make a standard password that gets saved to the registry during the install. Also is there a way I can set tight compression from the command line or from a registry setting during the install. I know that the password is saved in the registry in 3DES format. So if it is possible to set it from the command line when the exe start tight with clear text that would be better. If not then I would need a windows 3DES program to make an encrypted password then I would write that string to the appropiate registry key during the install. If that is the case any suggestion on a 3DES program that I can download(free preferably as I am doing this a a favor and not as a business) Finally let me say that this is NOT and attempt to turn VNC into a remote admin trojan. I just get frustrated with trying to type help to people over irc or MSN Messenger and hoping they are doing what I am telling them to. VNC would save me a lot of grey hairs Thanks _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com |
