WinXP Pro (viewer) black / blank screen connecting to Win7 Home Premium (server)

Hello,
    I have a fresh copy of TightVNC 2.0 Beta 4 w/DFMirage freshly installed
on each of two Windows machines.  One  is a Win7 Home Premium and the other
a WinXP Pro.  Though the connection from the Win7 to the XP machine is
perfect,  I find that the connection from the XP to the Win7 is lacking.  It
seems to be connecting OK, but all I see is a blank or black connection
scream.
   You help would be very much appreciated.
