Subject: Network Bridge I have two PCs set up in my garage. They are: Deadtom1 192.168.0.6 (a wireless connection to an access point) and 192.168.0.10 (Network Bridge to the Ethernet Port) Deadtom2 192.168.0.8 (Ethernet connected to the Ethernet Port on Deadtom1) Both PCs are in the same Workgroup and can be seen by Windows XP in the Workgroup browser. Both PCs can be pinged by either host name or IP address Both PCs are connected to the internet and are able to browse shares in the LAN I cannot connect to either PC with VNC. It simply times out. Prior to setting up Deadtom2 (and the network bridge), I was able to connect to Deadtom1 at the 192.168.0.6 IP with no problem. Anyone have any suggestions? Johnny ------------------------- You have a dual-homed computer, but both addresses appear to be in the same subnet. What is your netmask? Currently, the dual homed computer doesn't know where to route packets and may be sending them to the wrong NIC. My suggestion is to change one of the connections to 192.168.1.x, probably the Ethernet side. Then make sure all of them have a netmask of 255.255.255.0. Bob McConnell |
