Hiya guys, (apologies firstly if this gets posted twice - this mail doesn't have the attachment) I'm hoping that someone here can help point me in the right direction. I am in the process of building a SSI Cluster, for the purpose of running VMWare sessions for product testing, development, training etc. This all works rather well when logging into the any of the terminals directly. The next phase is to get the above accessible via a web page - which is where TightVNC comes into play. Currently I have Xvnc starting up out of xinetd for each web connection generated - this works really well. The problem I am getting is when VMWare is started, the window where the GUI of the guest OS is meant to be remains black. You see the initial VMWare booting, but then that's it. Updating the VMWare version or tools doesn't seem to help. I've also tested with a Windows X Client - VMWare shows up properly & as expected, so the problem lies somewhere with the Xvnc server or the tightvnc clients. I initially thought the problem might be related to the XServer im using. I've downloaded tightvnc-1.3dev5_unixsrc.tar.gz - compiled & installed to see if that made a difference, but alas no go either. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction !! :) Alex |
