Using the VNCviewer on Fremantle on the Nokia N900.

Issue sending CTRL ALT DEL to windows server 2008 RC2 running Tightvnc 2.0.

I can control mouse and keyboard on TightVNC2.0 on Windows Server 2008 RC2
but cannot send the CTRL ALT DEL command.

No issues sending CTRL ALT DEL to a windows server 2003 running 'old' Tight
vnc.

Both servers are running VNC as a service.

Any information I can provide to help rectify this problem quicker?

    I would like to add:

I have now tested TightVNC Server v1.3.10 on Windows Server 2008 RC2 and was unable to send the CTRL ALT DEL.

Therefore it appears there is a bug between VNC Viewer and Windwos Server 2008, not the fact that VNC Viewer was run on Fremantle.

Same problem on Win7 32bit. In addition Ctrl-C does not work in cmd-windows

Please test with TightVNC 2.0 Beta 2. Remote Ctrl-Alt-Del should work if the corresponding flag was set in the installer (it's on by detault).

Does not work here either! Client is TigntVNC Beta 2 on an IBM Thinkpad under Windows 7 32bit Ultimate. Server is TightVNC Beta 2 on an HP xw6400 Xenon workstation under W7 32bit Ultimate. Server rebootet after an automatic update and I am now being greeted with "Press Ctrl-Alt-Del to log on" - except sending an Ctrl-Alt-Del does NOTHING!

Peter, do you have the following key in the registry (use regedit.exe to check that):
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System\SoftwareSASGeneration
    ?
If there is such a setting, what is its value?

I won't be able to check this until tomorrow morning (my time - I am in the US on Mountain Daylight Time) but will get back at you ASAP.

It seems to work ok on a different machine that was operating (also HP ws on W7 32bit Ultimate)

    Constantine,
Ctrl-Alt-Del works well after upgrading the server to beta 2. As for the registry entry you inquired aout - it does not exist. Registry stops at \Policies\System\ with one sub entry below System called UIPI and no values set therein

    Thank you for the clarification.
Do I understand correctly that the issue has been resolved?
