#954 File Transfer problem on Win 7
I'm running TightVNC Version 2.0beta1 on two Windows 7 Professional PCs. It seems that the ability to transfer files between the VNC viewer/server does not appear to work. I did check the settings on the server to allow for file transfers. When I connect using the VNC client, the option is grayed out. I cannot find the option if I connect using the Java/browser client.
Which version of viewer did you use? If that was 1.3, it will not enable file transfers with 2.0 servers - old protocol had a number of major problems, and we had to offer absolutely new file transfer protocol and implementation. Please use TightVNC 2.0 on both sides of connection and that should enable file transfers.
Unfortunately, the Java viewer does not support file transfer yet - that will be worked on in the future.
Do we have to work on this issue? Is there something that might be considered a bug? Please let us know.
