I am using TightVNC for many years without having any problems, thanks for the great work in the past!
The following bug is a big problem to ensure good IT support, so I hope for increased prioritization, attention and troubleshooting. This error may be closely related to the bug report "#1528 Black screen on Windows 10", which is open and unsolved since 2020-11-03!
Since Windows 11 21H2 the screen will be frozen or black if I connect with TightVNC when the display went into the energy saving mode (for example after 15min). The error occurs only if the displays are connected to the display port.
The workaround for me is to connect with the remote desktop connection and reboot the computer, After the reboot a reconnect with TightVNC is possible again.
System configuration:
Windows 11 Pro (Build 22000.348) clean and fresh install
HP EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF, newest BIOS L01 v02.78
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4570 CPU @ 3.20GHz
Intel HD Graphics 4600 - Driver 20.19.15.5144 and with Driver
2 Displays Samsung TFT 27" LF27T450FQR @ Display Port - Resolution 1920x1080
