Running TightVnc 2.8.27 on Windows 10. It is installed as a service.
I have a normal user accoun (not into Administrators).
From the control applet I click on "Attach Listening Viewer" : it works, the window asks for the hostname or IP address and on the remote host (linux) there is the incoming tcp connection.
I cannot find how to do "Attach Listening Viewer" from the commandline, with the same user account.
This command gives the error "Failed to connect to the TightVnc server"
"%PROGRAMFILES%\TightVNC\tvnserver.exe" -controlapp -connect 10.1.1.1
This command shows nothing...
"%PROGRAMFILES%\TightVNC\tvnserver.exe" -controlservice -connect 10.1.1.1
but on the remote host there isn't any incoming connection.
I am sure about this, it is a linux host, I check with netstat.
Connecting to the same host thru the control applet works fine.
Hello
It is strange, just tested 2.8.27 and
tvnserver.exe -controlservice -connect localhost
works.
Could you write server log with loglevel 9 and send it to anton@glavsoft.com ?
