Hello, try to install PyQT manually first: http://www.riverbankcomputing.co.uk/software/pyqt/download The Installer searches for an older Version of it. As far as i know there are no current binaries for SL5, but you can always install it from source. Check the README and INSTALL files, and let us know if you need any further help. Kind regards Gero Müller Am 22.06.2010, 13:23 Uhr, schrieb Julian Ignaczak III <jul...@gm...>: > Hello. Hello. Every time I try to install VISPA on Windows Vista the install wizard tells me "Download Error, click OK to abort installation" and the following is listed under "Show Details": Execute: "msiexec" /i C:\Users\BOREDT~1\AppData\Local\Temp\python-2.5.4.msi Delete file: C:\Users\BOREDT~1\AppData\Local\Temp\python-2.5.4.msi At that point I cannot go on. I have tried it a few times and even tried an earlier version of VISPA which resulted in the same error. Any help would be appreciated. Also, I am going to try setting-up Scientific Linux 5.5 on my laptop. How do I get a copy of VISPA for it or is VISPA only available for SL4? In which case I'd still like to know how to get a copy of it. Thank you for your time. Julian Ignaczak |

Dear VISPA-users, the Mac OS X versions of VISPA 0.3.3 are now available for download. Please consider moving to the latest versions since version 0.3.2 was affected by features found in the then-used Qt/PyQt versions (a patched version has also been made available recently). Dear Ulrich, thanks very much for your feedback. In fact, you seem to have spotted a problem in our latest Mac OS bundle, which appears to work only on some Mac OS setups (amongst those, our release creation and release test systems). We will update the bundle as soon as possible. Until then, you could try VISPA version 0.3.0, download via http://sourceforge.net/projects/vispa/files/, which is (up to now) known to work with all Mac OS X versions.
