I bought a "Monster Joystick" interface for connecting my old TAC-2 to use in VICE. Unfortunately it doesn't come up in any usable foir that I can access.

I guess what I want to see is that there is a "Joystick Adapter (Monster joystick")...
You should be able to create a suitable mapping in the GUI now (and when you did, please provide the mapping file so we can include it)
How does it show up in the OS? 2 axis and 3 buttons?
The unit has a three diod display that gives tha binary indication of which mode it was in, and I read that in the wrong direction. Setting it to the right one, all was fine. It presented itself as a normal joystick to Windows and it appeared nicely in VICE with no extra configuration needed.
Next episode of Fairlight TV will feature this...
So, feel free to close the issue - there was seemingly none ;-)
