you choose to enable it although its on its way out - so you fix it.

Expecting us to fix something that will be removed soon says more about you than me really :)

and removing things just because you are unable to fix them, says a lot about you :D

FFMPEG library support is being phased out, any fixes needed on that will not get done, it is as simple as that.

The wording might have been a little bit aggressive, but it does not change the fact that no fixes will be made for this no longer used feature.

If you want to keep using this feature, I would suggest you make a branch of the vice source code at a time that it was an active feature and make fixes in your own branch where needed.

It's very much WIP and needs debugging and fixing.... i have successfully recorded videos on both Windows and Linux with it however (recording audio only does not work, and that option will be removed, because its kinda pointless). Right now i recommend a powerful PC and using the default settings, because that's what i mostly did when testing it. And please refrain from making "bug reports" telling that it doesn't work right - we know. Obviously don't hesitate to look at the code and tell WHY it doesn't work right :)

      1) recording audio only is not pointells but can be useful for testing many things.
      2) my windows laptop is 10 times more powerful than my linux one. On linux I didn't see this problem.
      3) is not my job to fix your code. I would try to do it anyways if you were more kind. But at the moment I am busy with a different project.
      4) I didn't make a bug report syaing it does not work right, I am saying the audio in the video is heavily distorted. Probably I overestimated many things or this comment would not be needed.

      Regards

Recording audio with ffmpeg is pointless. There are already other ways that work without it.

my windows laptop is 10 times more powerful than my linux one. On linux I didn't see this problem.

Have you even tried using ffmpeg.exe ? I doubt it.

is not my job to fix your code. I would try to do it anyways if you were more kind. But at the moment I am busy with a different project.

You choose to build the windows .exe with ffmpeg library support, which is deprecated and disabled for good reasons. If you want to keep using it, feel free to do so - but you'll have to fix it yourself. Even if you manage fix it yourself, it will still get removed. Is that so hard to understand?

I didn't make a bug report syaing it does not work right, I am saying the audio in the video is heavily distorted

Now that makes no sense at all, does it?
