#1881 x128 freezes when working in CP/M mode

VICE 3.7; GTK3; Windows10

What did you do?
Run x128, boot CP/M, run sceen40 off, work with CP/M disks, run program (ed).

What did happen?
Floppy stops working, reset floppy, system stays frozen, cursor blinks.

What did you expect to happen?
ED to run.

please try with a recent build from https://github.com/VICE-Team/svn-mirror/releases

Retested under 3.7.1 r43776.

Didn't have an issue. Seems to work much more stable and faster.
