Hallo,

I have a problem, but I don’t if it is a Veracrypt problem or a problem with the Surface Pro 4 dock. Let me explain.

I have, besides othes drives, two USB drives encrypted with Veracrypt (one the complete drive (3 TB), the other with a container file witch covers nearly the whole disk (2 TB)). When I copy a huge file (f.i. a disk image of 100 GB) a have no problem if only one of the two drives is encrypted with Vrecrypt. But if I copy between the two Vercrypted drives, one of the drives (or even both) gets inaccessible, with a system message as shown in the attachment. However, the inaccessible drive is still visible as mounted in the Veracrypt window. Also, files are still shown in explorer (but inaccessible).

The drives are connected to USB-hubs, of which the main hub is connected to the Surface dock. However, the problem does not occur if the main hub is connected to the USB port of the Surface itself.

Now what can be the matter? I prefer to have the main USB-hub connected to the Surface Dock. So, how to solve the problem with the accessibility issue?

In the mean time I found out that the fully encrypted drive seems to be the most troublesome one.

And by the way: the problem is not specific for copying large files, but for copying many data at one time.
