A drive holding a 200gb VC volume was later compressed. When I tried to decompress the volume in Windows 10, I found crc errors onthe drive, precluding me from either decompressing or copying the file to an uncompressed drive. CHKDSK freezes about halfway through the process due to the crc errors.
I am guessing I know the answer, but is there any trick anyone knows that would allow me to repair the drive or volume so I can decompress or access the data within the volume?
Just thought I would asks in this forum as a last ditch effort before I have to reformat the drive and startover with a new vc volume. The data is a collection of records that are important to me, so would love to get a chance to recover what I can from the volume.
If more info is required, let me know and I will try to provide.
If anyone has some experience re compression/crc errors and vc, would love to hear from you. Thanks in advance.
