I encrypted my C partition, that's all my drive. (Besides the 100MBs EFI.) But with no wipe passes thinking it should do 1 for me.

Can I just fill up my space now with files then delete them? Or some program? I don't think decrypting looks faster...

But if I do this "wipe" myself, will I actually be able to get all crevices which were where old Windows paging files etc sat in?
