I have an Acer Aspire E5-573 laptop with Win10 Home x64. I'd like to encrypt my PC but the "Encrypt the Windows Partion" doesn't work, it's explained in the beginner's guide that this is because "By default, Windows 7 and later boot from a special small partition. The partition contains files that are required to boot the system. Windows allows only applications that have administrator privileges to write to the partition (when the system is running). VeraCrypt encrypts the partition only if you choose to encrypt the whole system drive (as opposed to choosing to encrypt only the partition where Windows is installed)."
So, I would like to encrypt the whole drive but apparently this is not an option for me, why could that be? (See embedded image)
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:

EFI loader requires ESP(EFI system partition) to boot => full disk is not possible
