I have a laptop with dual boot with Windows and Ubuntu running on two separate partitions.
It was working very nice for a long time until i wanted to upgrade Ubuntu 16 to Ubuntu 18.
Accidently i didn’t decrypt the partition loaded with Windows before installing Ubuntu 18.
Now i can’t access the Windows and so as the partition.
The partition appears on fdisk -l or on Windows Disk Management.
It looks like the TrueCrypt volume header has been corrupted.
I tried to restore the volume header using TrueCrypt and VeraCrypt (i.e. options: “Restore Volume Header) but unfortunately I keep getting the following error:
“Incorrect password or not a TrueCrypt volume”
The password is 100% correct
I will be very grateful if i can access my disk partition as i have a very valuable data on that partition. I will welcome any out of the box suggestion.
Kind Regards
Naveed
