My external Veracrypt encrypted Samsung T5 SSD does not automatically decrypt and mount when my system boots for the first time from a power off state. It does however automatically mount the drive if I simply do a second restart of my computer without ever having turned the computer off again. In this instance just to be clear, I never manually mounted the T5 prior to this secondary restart. I’m running Windows 10 version 1909 build 18363.535 but this problem has been around ever since building my new computer and upgrading to Windows 10. When I was using Truecrypt and Windows 7 the feature worked flawlessly, always mounting my external drive on startup without incident. My main system drive is a Samsung 970 Pro M.2 NVMe SSD. I turned off quick boot in my BIOS but this did not fix the problem. I’ve configured my system favorites as shown in the attachment, favorite volumes was left unconfigured. Some settings I don’t understand such as use volume ID to mount favorites?? I have an Asus Crosshair VII motherboard running bios version 2304 and an AMD Ryzan 7 2700X CPU. If anyone knows why this does not work properly or has a similar problem, any assistance is appreciated.
