    Hi !

First of all thanks for this wonderful piece of software, definitely the best disk encryption software I know about.

I've got the following problem I can't seem to come to terms with : I have 3 partitions (on 3 different disks), each of them encrypted with the same password and PIM. All passwords were entered with US keyboard layout. One of them is my system partition, unlocked through pre-boot authentication.

I've added the two others to the System Favorites (with the correct PIM), checked "Cache pre-boot authentication password" in System Encryption Settings, and checked "Cache passwords in driver memory" in VeraCrypt preferences.

None of the two auto-mounts udring system boot. Looking at the event viewer, I get 3 successive errors :
    Favorite "\Device\Harddisk0\Partition1" failed to mount
    Favorite "\Device\Harddisk3\Partition1" failed to mount
    System Favorites mounting process failed.

When I try to mount them manually, VeraCrypt apparently tries to use the cache password, but fails. The peculiar thing here is that my PIM is very low, but VeraCrypt takes a long time to figure out the password is wrong (same time as with the default PIM). If I enter the password and PIM manually afterwards, all goes well.

So I tried with "Include PIM when caching a password" checked, but to no avail. And I'm kind of stuck here. Putting the two partitions in normal favorites does not work as well.

I'm using Veracrypt 1.17 64 bit on Windows 10. Maybe I'm missing something obvious, in any case any help would be appreciated.

Have you disabled Windows feature called Fast Startup?

Ok, after further investigation, it was a stupid mistake on my part: I used a UK layout to enter the password for my system favorites (instead of a US layout), and the password contains special characters whose place differ on these layouts.

Everything working fine now, thank you for your attention ;-)
