I have a strange behaviour of the software. A non-system drive is encrypted. This drive is - most of the time - automatically mounted on Windows start without requiring a password. The idea of encrypting the drive in the first place is obsolete. This is not a feature I wanted to use or have set-up, so I am a bit puzzled.
The settings in VeraCrypt seem to be OK (neither of the two options on Windows start is checked ("Start VeraCrypt Background Tasks" and "Mount all device-hosted VeraCrypt volumes" are booth disabled).
Auto-Dismount is enabled in case of "User logs off", "User session locked" and "Force auto-dismount even if volume contains open files or directories" is also enabled. The only password cache options checked are "Wipe passwords on exit" and "Wipe cached passwords on auto-mount", so I don't know why the password is known and why it can auto-mount.
I am using the newest version of the software (VeraCrypt 1.19 64bit) and Windows 10. Furthermore there is a linux system (ubuntu) installed on the notebook, but I am not using it at the moment.
Has anyone any idea what can course this or had similar experiences?

You must disable Fast Startup. See threads:
