I've been having a recurring problem for a while now. Sometimes a desktop taslbar button wil become unresponsive. It remains visible on the taskbar, but I must close it from its' context menu and start over.
It got to the point where I did a fresh reinstall. But the behavior has returned.
I believe it may be Veracrypt related.
I noticed a while back that if you open the veracrypt interface and choose "mount Volume", and if you open another window before completing the task, and then try to go back to veracrypt by way of the veracrypt taskbar button, the veracrypt interface appears, but the password dialog is not displayed. At this point, clicking anywhere on the veracrypt interface evokes only a warning sound. You must go back to the previous page, and then click on that pages taskbar button once again to go back to the veracrypt interface with and have the "mount" option in view and available to enter a password.
I know this has been the case since veracrypt v1.22.
However, it's not just that particular behavior that make it seems related.
I didn't make the connection uintil today, that the only takbar buttons afflicted are from my encrypted partition. Any file or folder outside of that partition seem to be unaffected.
I will give it more time, but I was working on something for several hours today, and that was the pattern the whole time.
Have you ever heard anything like this?
Thanks
Windows 10 pro, Firefox 63.010b, Vewracrypt 1.23-Hotfix

Disappointed that apprently this subject wasn't deemed important enough for even a minimal response, if only just out of courtesy.
Maybe someone could suggest somewhere else I might get help?
For now, I have reverted back to Veracrypt 1.21, thus eliminating the problem with veracrypt interface focus that I described earlier. Hopefully, this reversion will also address and solve the related taskbar button problem.
If someone could confirm that v1.21 is safe and secure to use, I would appreciate it.
