VeraCrypt is unable to use cached pre-boot authentication password when mounting Favorite Volumes

In the documentation it says that upon mounting a Favorite Volume, "VeraCrypt will not prompt you for a password if you have enabled caching of the pre-boot authentication password (Settings > ‘System Encryption’) and the volumes use the same password as the system partition/drive".

This doesn't seem to be true.

Even though my Favorite Volume has the same password as the system partition, and even though I have enabled caching of the pre-boot authentication password and restarted the computer, VeraCrypt still prompts me for the password when I attempt to mount a Favorite Volume. What could be causing this?

I don't use system encryption, so I'm unable to test any advice, which my ignorance may render useless. No doubt more knowledgeable users can confirm or refute it!

    a. I don't believe that statement in the documentation to be true. There's a difference between 'Favorite Volumes' and 'System Favorite Volumes'; I would assume it to be true only of the latter.

    b. The pre-boot authentication password is created using US keyboard layout. Therefore (I assume) passwords for any 'Favorite' volumes would also have to be created using US keyboard layout.
