CHMOD on mounted NTFS devices in Ubuntu does not work out of the box, which makes sharing data between a Linux and a Windows OS more complicated.
According to the following thread one can set mount options in order to prevent this issue: https://askubuntu.com/questions/11840/how-do-i-use-chmod-on-an-ntfs-or-fat32-partition
How do I set those options in Veracrypt correctly? Maybe there should be an easier way to set NTFS permissions in Linux?
This might help finding a solution: https://superuser.com/questions/1248525/how-may-i-mount-an-external-drive-in-fstab-and-give-owbership-to-multiple-users/1248556#1248556
Good questiuon! Is it possible, use permissions with a veracrypt ntfs partition under linux? Do you find a solution?
