I have a lot of important files on an external hard drive that was encrypted with VeraCrypt.
I came to use it yesterday to find that Windows can no longer open any partition on the drive after it has been decrypted with VeraCrypt.
When the drive is mounted, I can see that in the Disk Management, it wants me to "Initialize Disk". If I click Cancel, the partition where my files where located before is now completely gone and "Unallocated"
I've tried running a multiple of tools (WITHOUT commiting anything to the hard disk in question) but nothing is helping me find that partition that was once there. I NEED these files as they are undescribably important.
Can anyone possibly assist me with getting this partition back? I believe when VeraCrypt made the partition, it was exFAT. I'm 99% sure of this.
Thank you for any assistance.
