Hello, I am experiencing an issue during the OS encryption process in which the pretest fails. The first time I performed the test, I received a Secure Boot violation error (something about an invalid signature if I recall correctly), and afterward, it proceeded to go through the normal startup process. So I then disabled Secure Boot and Quick Startup. And after trying it again, the pretest failed once more. It went through the normal startup process, but this time without the Secure Boot error. If you could please help identify and/or solve the issue at hand, I would be most thankful.
I am currently running 64 bit Windows 10 Home.
(I do not know whether this is relevant or not, but when asked to restart the computer for the pretest, the computer instead shuts down, leaving me to manually power it back on.)
I would be glad to provide any more information if needed.

So all I get is the default pretest failed error. Though I have also leanred that if I hit F12 while it is booting up, I am able to select the Veracrypt launcher and it says it works. But I decided not to encrypt due to the fact I am unsure if this just a work around or a solution. (Sorry for all the excess comments, I am still getting used to this site, and I haven't figured out how to delete them.)

This is a problem. Please enter here the errors that VeraCrypt has shown or you can send us screenshots to know what it is.
Maybe I can help you, I had many problems with the pre-test.

Some notebooks use Windows boot loader by default and ignore UEFI spec. (e.g. HP) See here thread about EFI boot problem. It can be solved.
