Running into an issue helping someone get encrypted.
All looks normal up until the rescue disk portion - then I get a request to use a USB for a rescue disk creation.

All installs up to this point have used a DVD to burn an ISO.

How can I get this to do the same - or what is the cause for this variation?

  A USB is requested for Rescue Disk in case the machine is booting using
  UEFI mode and not the legacy BIOS/MBR.
  You can check how the machine is booting by launching Windows System
  Information tool and looking into the "BIOS Mode" entry.
  In your case, it should display UEFI.
