After successfully installed and encrypted/decrypted the hd on my win 10 Hp envy. I now have started to do the samed with my wifes Hp Pavilion.

The initial setup goes well, but when the computer restarts for the prestest, Veracrypt doesnt accept my password, wich is 100% the same as i have entered twice in the setup before.

I have some thoughts that it maybe has something to do with the keybord layout that in windows is swedish, but in "dos enviroment" is english, and some of the keys gives differnt results in windows than it does in dos. The password doesn't contain any non english characters. Although i have noticed that the question-sign key (?) gives different results in windows, where you get a ? in dos enviroment you get something else. I have tried serval combinations, and have also found how to get the question sig in dos, but no mather what i try it still says that password, pim, or hash is wrong.

I have the recovery usb-stick (didnt get the option to burn a dvd) but when i use it, it wont accept the password even here, so it´s kind of useless...

The disc is, at this point not encrypted, so i can access it via a ubuntu live session, but i dont know how to get rid of the password problem that prevents veracrypt to continue, or windows to load.

Is there any way to uninstall veracrypt at this stage? windows recovery / start repair just gives me an error message.

Like with my Envy laptop I have added this row to the EFI:
    <config key="ActionSuccess">postexec file(EFI\Microsoft\Boot\bootmgfw_ms.efi)</config>
    as refferred here https://sourceforge.net/p/veracrypt/discussion/technical/thread/5b859040/?page=1
(veracrypt didnt load at startup unless it was added).

Does anybody have a solution that doesnt includes formatting the drive and reinstalling windows?

    Best regards / Roger
