    Dear All,

I have an external drive that I have encrypted with Veracrypt. I have previously mounted and used it successfully both on Windows 11 and Ubuntu 22.04 (Veracrypt version 1.25.9). However, I am not able to mount it anymore on both the devices that I have previously used.

When I connect the drive, its light goes on but it is not listed as a device when clicking on "Select Device". It is also not listed with other drives when I use "partet -l" in the terminal. Therefore, it is also not possible to mount the drive.  I have tried all USB ports, none work with the Veracrypt drive. However, they work with other drives that are not encrypted with Veracrypt.

Does anyone have any suggestions how I can mount and use my drive again?

    Best,
    Mi

I am having a similar problem. 64 GB flash drive encrypted with Veracrypt and it will not mount. “The file system is RAW“. I have always received a great deal of help in this forum, mostly under a previous nickname, I think it was “Pink BL“. No explanation for why no one is even trying to help us with this. The storage drive on my computer seems to be having an electrical problem, computer will not turn on with the drive connected. The back up is on a drive that won’t spin up. The 64 GB drive is a mini back up the most important files, and it won’t mount. I seem to have done everything right, backed everything up, but nothing is working out.
