So, I'm trying to figure out why I can't mount my external hard drive, I'm using the correct password but an error keeps popping up saying the password is incorrect and etc. Several things happened in a short period of time that makes it hard to pinpoint what caused it exactly.

    1. So, I had several power outages while my external hard drive was mounted.

    2. I also was installing software such as "poweriso" and "uubyte dmg editor" to attempt making a bootable usb drive for mac os, maybe one of the softwares interfered with my hard drive.

    3. and lastly what probably made it worse was my attempt to fix it. I went on to "create and format hard disk partitions" I checked out the hard drive and it says "raw" and "unallocated" I'm not sure if its supposed to say that, I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes veracrypt which is why I'm here And I also read that it says "gpt" instead of mbr. I thought maybe the software accidentally converted my hard drive to gpt. So I thought maybe I can fix if I can convert to mbr.

So right now I'm panicking, not knowing what to do here. I usually don't make posts like these but right now I'm really desperate in trying to fix this.

What was the original format? If you haven't done too much damage, try to mount the volume with the backup header (Volumes -> Mount Volume with Options). You should already created a separate header backup file.
