Installed in Linux Lint 17.2 Cinnamon 64. Followed the instructions, appeared to install, pressed enter to exit terminal.

Searched for Veracrypt in applications - not there...

Uninstalled through terminal and tried again - not there...

Can't find any trace of Veracrypt on the system after installation. What can be done?

After installing VeraCrypt on Linux Mint, you can find it by clicking on Mint green Menu icon at the botton left corner and then:

    • either go to accessories and you'll find VeraCrypt there
    • or you can type VeraCrypt in the seatch box and it will be displayed to you.

Below you'll find a video showing the installation and use of VeraCrypt 1.13 on Linux Mint 17.2 Cinnamon 64-bit.

Thank you Mounir for your response.

I booted up this morning to take a screenshot for you as I did exactly what was shown in the video... and it seems veracrypt is now installed.

This is strange, I have never observed any installations on linux that required a reboot to appear.
