SOLVED
Updated from older version of VeraCrypt (1.9) to latest (2.1). Issue solved.
Hey guys,
I'm trying to create a new NFTS volume in Veracrypt (Windows 10, admin account), but when I try to format the volume in the Volume Creation Wizard I get 'VeraCrypt failed to obtain Administrator privileges'.
I know I could 'Run as Administrator', but this seems like a potentially risky move. I can also format the drive as FAT on creation, then reformat as NFTS using the Windows Format tool, but I'm unsure if this will mess anything up.
Any ideas?
Cheers
