Hey there,

Being new to VeraCrypt I did something tremendously stupid. I used
VeraCrypt to encrypt my complete harddrive on Windows 10.

After completing the settings in VeraCrypt it asked me to reboot to
start the encryption process. Unfortunately I didn't get to the
encryption process.

When I start the laptop and fill in the VeraCrypt pre-boot password/pim
I'm being redirected to a screen at which I need to enter my Bitlocker
recovery key.

I've read through some forums that the recovery key doesn't work so I
didn't even try that.

I thought, since the harddisk hasn't been encrypted yet, I would install
Linux on some leftover space on the harddisk and mount the Windows
partition from there to retrieve any files in Windows.

Unfortunately whatever I try I'm unable to mount the Windows partition.
I've also tried to edit the mount options through Gnome Disk Manager
however this option is greyed out.

I'm at a total loss here, how can I successfully mount this Windows
"Bitlocker" partition in Linux?
