Hi i have a question, is using Veracrypt decrasing lifespan of SSD or USB ?And how much ? For example if i use High encryption (Aes(twofish(serpent)) and i am still mounting and dismounting encryapted device how much data is it writing to an SSD where is located veracrypt software and how much data it is writing to an encrypted device ? And if i copy for example 1gb of video, photos or any kind of data to an encrypted storage the file will take more space ? Or maybe if i encrypt whole system will it be more reliable to use Hard drive.

SSD drives last much longer than the manufacturers’ Terabytes written (TBW) rating. Real world tests prove it. So don’t worry.
Make sure an SSD drive is encrypted before saving private data. In other words, encrypt it with VeraCrypt immediately after installing Windows.
