I had a, mostly performance, question about using 4k native drives. Meaning both the logical and physical sector sizes are 4k. Most hard drives are 512e drives, with 512 logical and 4k physical sector sizes. Is there a performance impact using a veracrypt container on a 4k native drive? My scenario is I have several 300GB file containers, formatted with NTFS on windows. They used to be on a 512e drive but were moved to a 4k native drive. Will I see performance issues with reading or writing to this drive? Will VC know to write in 4k blocks to avoid read-modify-write cycles?
