I think it is important to mention that plausible deniability is not so "plausible" until Verawipe is available.

We all apriciate Mounir has limited time and we are grateful for all he does to Veracrypt, but without Verawipe users remain vulnerable to regimes hostile to encryption with now includes most countries due to password disclosure laws etc.

Hi Karl,

I do not see any open tickets requesting a VeraWipe tool nor an explanation for the need of this tool.

Exactly what is the purpose of the VeraWipe tool would perform that is different than when a user creates a VeraCrypt volume without Quick Format?

Hi

Verawipe would be a seperate tool users could claim to have used with no knowledge of veracrypt.

Verawipe would be like DBAN but leave disks looking exactly the same (forensically) as a veracrypt encrypted disk.
