I used Veracrypt (1-24 update 6 / 64-bit) three years ago to create a volume on an external hard-disk (Toshiba, 1 Tb). Since then, I could access many times to this volume without problem.
However I did not have enough space last time I added files to the volume. Thus I think I tried to compress the disk, if I remember well.
Unfortunately yesterday, I could not open my volume. After attempting to mount the volume and entering the password, I got this message: “Error: the volume has been compressed at the level of the operating system. Veracrypt does not support compressed containers...” followed by an explanation on how to uncompress the container.
So I did uncheck the box “compress this drive...” after right-click on the container in Windows Explorer. It took hours, however it did not change the situation: although the “compress box” is now unchecked, I still receive the same message as above.
(I have a Dell computer working with Windows 10. Everything is up to date)
Could anybody help me solve this issue a recover my data, please? Thanks a lot!

Please, help me!
How exactly did you "compress" the container? The container itself or the content of it? What did you do exactly?
