Hello. I'm trying to encrypt a windows 10 boot drive but i dont want to type in a crazy long password everyday
is it possible to set up veracrypt so that if i have a usb drive plugged in, then it can boot up and if the drive is unplugged it fails?

You can have a keyfile on a usb with diskcryptor but it hasent been updated since 2014 and doesn't support windows 10 . I was trying to stay with windows 7 but new hardware is not compatible with it.

any ideas how to do this? am i missing a setting somewhere or is there another encryption program thats openly audited and not proprietary software.
