I had an old external drive that I decided to backup some data to and use Veracrypt to protect it. All went well and I can mount it and access my data with no problem. When I mount it, I see two drive letters assigned to it, and both showing the same size. When I click on either of those drives, I see the data I encrypted (i.e. it's obviously the same data, but for some reason Explorer is seeing two drive letters assigned to this drive now).
Before I had done anything, I had used the partition manager built into Win10 and repartitioned the drive from three partitions to a single partition.
Any idea why it did this? See attached pic that will help explain what I'm saying.
