This is a serious issue that I didn't encounter in any of my test machines.
Can you please share the detailed configuration of your system (CPU model, RAM, disk configuration, system encryption or volume mounting).
I temporarily removed 1.20 Windows installer while investigating the issue.

It seems to be linked to some bad detection of SSE4 features of the CPU.
Can you please use a tool like CPU-Z to display full CPU features list and post it here?
Thank you.

I could not find any obvious explanation.
Can you please run the attached crypto benchmark program on your machine and report what is displayed on the console?
It replicates the code that VeraCrypt runs and if there is a crash, it should also happen with this program.
Here is what it displays on a machine with Core i7-3630 QM:
Linux 64bit Veracrypt Gui version - When using whirpool as a hash algorithm with Twofish app throws information about critical error, but no details.
Other hash algorithms are working fine...
Could you please check it?
Thank tou

UPDATED: 2017-07-08
Windows OS release updated to 1.21 RC5:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/veracrypt/files/VeraCrypt%20Nightly%20Builds/
Linux/MacOS and DCS-EFI currently still 1.20:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/veracrypt/files/VeraCrypt%201.20/
Once version 1.21 for all platforms and source code have been released, I will create a new annoucement since I cannot edit the title of this thread.

Officer himself? I have not noticed an update on the main site yet
I am sure Mounir will update the other sites as time permits in the near future including SourceForge's links below.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/veracrypt/files/
and:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/veracrypt/files/latest/download?source=files
This version gives me BSODs (SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED). Tested on Win 8.1 & XP.
Same on win7 x64.
Mav and jqb,
thank you. reported problem

AMD Phenom II X4 955, 8GB DDR3 RAM, 1 SDD + 2 HDDs, Windows 8.1 x64, no system encryption, VeraCrypt portable. BSOD during volume mounting (from HDD, AES encryption only).
I also have XP in VirtualBox. BSOD during VC launch (portable) or during system boot-up (VC installed).

Thank you for your help.
send me IDRASSI setup veracrypt 1.20 "fix missing resource in 64-bit build."
I will test it again
So the test program doesn't crash on your machine.
Do you have a crash in VeraCrypt GUI with menu Tools -> Test Vectors and clicking "Auto-Test all"?
I'm trying to narrow down where the crash is coming from.
VeraCrypt-x64.exe - all passed
VeraCrypt.exe - app crashed (no BSOD)
windows 8 64bit all passed

@mav: I'm attaching the 32-bit version of the benchmark program. Can you please run it and report the results? Thanks?
@sebatbg: can you please share your CPU information (cat /proc/cpuinfo)?
Info about my PC, about error from VeraCrypt when I try to create container with Twofish and Whirpool.
And I'm not sure but it looks like sending error report doesn't work. It redirects to main veracrypt.fr and nothing else.
