Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen, My computer --Windows 10 64-bit-- does nto have resources to access a cd. As I am reading the manual I read that a cd is needed to create master boot record. My computer does not have the resources to do this. Is there a work around ? i am learning. I know this may sound stupid I am confused on how to address this ? Thank you.

If your system is using MBR/BIOS, then you would need a CD or DVD in order to make an emergency boot disk, which is highly recommended, just about required, for good reason. If using GPT/EFI, then I think you can write to a USB stick. Believe me, either switch to an EFI system or go buy yourself a DVD burner. You will thank me that you had an emergency boot CD.
