When using Vera Crypt portable I can't do anything to veracrypt.sys.
I have full permissions on this user. Yet I still get prompted with access denied.
I've tried:
Deleting using Windows GUI.
Deleting using the cmd.
Deleting using windows powershell.
Stopping the service using cmd.
Stopping the service using windows powershell.
When trying to stop the service with powershell it seem to time out waiting for veracrypt to stop. Even though I used the argument -Force in the command line.
Only way I can touch this file is if I do a "cold boot". Rebooting has no effect.
Any additional info or suggestions on how to get this .sys to stop so it can be deleted will be much appreciated.
